We are delighted to regularly host green fuse Funeral Celebrant Training and Funeral Arranging courses here at Stanborough House. Green fuse is run by Jane Morrell and Simon Smith, authors of 'We Need To Talk About The Funeral". Simon and Jane provide an in-depth, quality training for those wishing to learn how to create a beautiful and memorable funeral that reflects the life and values of the person who has died. Simon and Jane are passionate about the work they do and about raising the standard and relevance of funerals today. Time and again the course paricipants praise their integrity, skill, compassion, humour and warmth. Stanborough House provides the perfect refuge for course participants to delve into their own feelings about loss, bereavement and mortality.
Please be sure to book early to avoid disappointment as courses in the past have been heavily subscribed. See the Events Calendar 2012
“... the room, the food and your lovely house all conspired together to make it a really memorable time and a wonderful setting for learning.”
Sue Hopper, Taunton.
"Stanborough House is an ideal location for both learning and then rejuvenating ready for the next day! The rooms have been beautifully refurbished in keeping with both the style and feel of the house, which is set in the peaceful and calming Devon countryside. Sophie and Peter are perfect hosts - unobtrusive but always around if you need anything. I can't finish without mentioning Sophie's delicous home cooking and baking - just what you need to stimulate the brain cells after all that concentrating!"
Deborah Leah, green fuse student.
